Dhanvarsha Industries and Biotechnology Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2017 under the leadership of Parbati Kapri, is Nepal’s first organic fertiliser producer in Lumbini Province. The company obtained authorisation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in June 2019 to produce granular organic fertilisers under the “Bio Shakti” brand, which was later certified by the National Crop Development Council. In October 2023, it was recognised as Lumbini Province’s first organic fertiliser producer by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management. With its main facility in Nepalgunj, Dhanvarsha supplies high-quality, eco-friendly organic fertilisers to farmers across Karnali, Lumbini, and Koshi Provinces. It is the first company in Nepal to produce granular organic fertilisers using a blend of plant origin, animal origin, and mineral components. Ingredients like locally sourced cow dung, chicken manure, medicinal herbs, and minerals enrich soil with nutrients, boost disease resistance, and improve soil structure.
